Dr. Lisa Kelleher, Ph.D. on Mental Toughness

The UNLV baseball players quickly adapted strategies to enhance their sports performance taught to them by Spencer Wood. Currently ranked No. 21 (3/13/13) the baseball team swept at No. 9 Stanford, and after a first inning error could be heard shouting many of the mental toughness and bounce back concepts taught to them by Spencer Wood, according to Senior Associate Athletics Director, Eric Toliver who was in attendance.

The mental skills and toughness training workshop presented to over 400 UNLV student-athletes and their coaching staffs described strategies for big game preparation, bouncing back from defeat, building confidence, and focusing through mistakes and adversity. We look forward to continuing this collaboration in the future.
